Big Little Lies Book Review

Big Little Lies by Liane Moriarty

Title: Big Little Lies

Author: Liane Moriarty

GoodReads Rating: 4.25/5

My Rating: 4.5/5

Big Little Lies follows the lives of 3 woman in very different lives that are tangled up in a murder. The book is about snippets of conversation from the night of the murder and the story of each woman leading up to the woman. Madeline, Celeste, and Jane are 3 women who meet when their children start Kindergarten. They also are joined by Madeline’s ex-husband’s new wife whose daughter is also in the same class.

I found the book to be intriguing as well as relatable. As far as “who done it” I am usually pretty good at knowing before they tell us, but I honestly had no clue. Forget the write up the book talks about, let’s talk about the twists, the OMG moments, the emotions you go through, laughing, crying, getting angry. The ability to relate to these ladies, to feel like you are right there with them, drinking a glass of champagne at the breakfast table, gossiping about the other moms at school, ect. Really a great book to start the summer off right!

  1. I didn’t read the book I must confess but I did watch the series and it was excellent. If I had not already watch the tv series, I would read the books this summer.

  2. The series was brilliant! Was a shame it was only a mini series, it ended way too quickly. Will definitely have a read of the book!
