The Girl On The Train by Paula Hawkins
My rating 3.5/5
The Girl On The Train was about a woman Rachel who rides the same train to and from London every day. She rides by her old home and has to watch her husband with his new family living in there. Rachel watches the neighbours who she has never met and she makes up this idealistic story in her mind of who they are, what they do for a living, how their life and love is. She has it all figured out. Until one day she see’s something that will forever change her view out the window and pulls her back on to Blenheim Road where her view will forever be changed.
It was a good book. Pulled me in. Lots of twists and turns along the way. Had you thinking the entire time that is for sure. However, there were a few times I almost wanted to give up on the book. I think there was so much hype all summer about this book I was let down some. After Big Little Lies I am having a hard time finding that rich, steamy, secret mystery book.
Going to watch the movie tonight and I will do a full write up with book and movie comparison.
